Suit Pee-wee Herman's signature gray plaid valley was originally a suit that Rubens had borrowed the Groundlings director, Gary Austin, the little red bow tie was given to him by an acquaintance. Pee-wee's later paintings clothing and personality were raised in much of 1950's manic children's TV host Pinky Lee. Also incorporated in the eye is cut black hair, pale skin with red rouge, and lipstick red.
